4/6 lecture

This lectures speakers were a married couple Wanda Gibbins and Wes Shurman. Wanda works at a small museum called the Stickley Museum in NJ where she is a docent and works with children and activities for them. Wes Shurman is a painter but originally majored in Bio Chem before making his first painting. He said that he makes paintings about paintings. He works very abstractly too. He has had about 20 or more shows so far of his paintings. His paintings have been showed all over. Wanda also has a mission to follow at the Stickley musuem and tries to explain and prove that mission to other people whether they have gone to that museum many times or is new to the museum. They both talked about romance with and through their work. They both have different views and thoughts about how romance is expressed through their jobs since Wanda isn't an artist like her husband but yet at the same time she works at a museum helping others with knowledge of art too.
